Is there parking close by?
Parking is available on site at the Q Central. Alternatively, there are ample parking at Norwest Private Hospital next door.
How soon can I see a Norwest GI surgeon?
Patients with urgent referrals will be attended to within 48 hours.
What is the cost for a consultation?
We are not a bulk billing practice. You will be required to pay for your consultation on the day. You will receive part of the fee back from Medicare. Fees will be discounted for pensioners and on a discretionary basis. Fees for all procedures will be advised at the time of booking.
What is I don’t have private health insurance?
Norwest GI surgeons all have public hospital appointments and are able to offer your surgical treatment at no cost in the public hospital system.
What do I need to bring for my first consultation?
Consultations are by appointment only
Please bring with you the following:
- GP referral
- All recent imaging (e.g. X-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI etc) and any biopsy or blood test results
- Medicare Card and Health Fund details
- List of all your medications and drug allergies
IMPORTANT: Please arrive 10 minutes earlier than your scheduled appointment as you might need to fill out an information sheet
